Wilkins & Wilkins has always maintained a complete wood shop. We cut virtually all of our construction components in our own shop. We produce everything from cabinetry to circular door and window casings in all species of solid wood and all types of finish. The following is a sample list of features found in every home built

Foundations are continuous block-built with a concrete slab poured under every home, covered with a vapor barrier.

Steel girders for load support and laminated, veneered lumber engineered for spans.

All homes are engineered by a state-licensed engineer.

4-ply plywood with exterior glue for all sheathing and sub-flooring.

Only copper or CPVC water lines, with cast iron drain lines between floors for sound control.

Kohler or equivalent-quality bath products.

Karastan carpet, “Select” or better hardwood flooring, and Andersen or Marvin windows.

Roofs are architectural 50-year shingles, standing metal seam - or, for the ultimate, glazed tile. All flashings are copper.

American Standard/Trane heat pumps with 13 seer ratings and returns in all bedroom areas.

Clear trim work, not finger jointed.

We use Benjamin Moore or Sherwin Williams paint products.

Schlage hardware is used exclusively throughout the home.

All homes have a mature landscaping plan with irrigation.

Liberal allowances for tile, brick, stone, lighting fixtures, appliance packages, and counter and sink tops.
